Why Pragmatic Consultancy® has officially trademarked Its Name
In today’s fast-evolving business landscape, creating a strong brand identity is essential. At Pragmatic Consultancy, we pride ourselves on offering practical, insightful, and tailored solutions to our clients. To protect the integrity and reputation we’ve worked hard to build, we recently trademarked our brand name, Pragmatic Consultancy®.
A trademark is more than just a legal formality—it’s a safeguard for our identity. Our name, Pragmatic Consultancy, encapsulates our mission and values. By securing this trademark, we ensure that our business stands apart in an increasingly competitive market. It’s our way of saying that the services, guidance, and expertise we provide are truly unique to us.
To us it is our name and reputation: We want our clients to feel confident that when they work with Pragmatic Consultancy, they are getting the real deal—backed by a solid reputation for high-quality advice and solutions. Trademarking protects us from imitation or misrepresentation by others who may attempt to use a similar name.
We have built our client trust, which for businesses invest in consulting services; they need to know they are working with a trusted, legitimate partner. Trademarking ensures that the name Pragmatic Consultancy represents the high standards and tailored services we’ve built over time.
We need to protect our growth and expansion as we look toward the future, protecting our name is a critical part of expanding our business and services.
Whether we are developing new markets or innovative offerings, our trademark ensures that our brand remains distinct and recognisable, no matter how far we grow.
Trademarking was a great deal for us, its a sign that we have services that bring value and that we continue to develop the relationships with clients far beyond the short term projects but into the trusted advisor. We are adaptable and can offer an extra pair of hands when the tough gets going, to helping you work through business strategy confident that you have the advice and connections to validate external information and noise for what will be the best for you and the company.

if you are thinking of getting trade marked then the first place to start is Search for a trade mark – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) (UK only)
1. Search for the words or logos or whatever it is to make sure that no one else has a similar or existing trademark!
2. Once that’s confirmed then register your trademark and the categories you want to register the trademark in – this is important as you must use the classification system to specify the goods and/or services you’ll be using it on. The Intellectual Property Offices worldwide use a trade mark classification system that groups together similar goods or services into 45 different classes. This is referred to as the Nice classification.
Each class contains a list of terms. These cover all the goods or services included in that class:
- goods are in classes 1 to 34
- services are in classes 35 to 45
All classes have a broad heading explaining what’s covered in that particular class. This is only a general indication and does not include all the goods or services in that class.
