Our Sustainability Statement
At Pragmatic, we believe clarity is power.
We exist to strengthen ethical practice in the energy sector and to make compliance part of everyday culture, not an afterthought and not a burden. Energy is critical to society. It carries risk, responsibility and influence. It must be operated with care.
We are here to support responsible energy operations that protect workers, safeguard communities and stand up to scrutiny. We believe compliance should be understood, owned and lived at every level of an organisation. Not delegated. Not diluted. Not performed for appearance.
Protecting workers is not a line in a policy. It is a duty. Strengthening ethical practice is not a branding exercise. It is leadership in action. Contributing to environmental stewardship is not optional. It is part of operating responsibly in a sector that shapes the future.
We do not ask others to do what we are not prepared to do ourselves.
2024-2025 Impact Report
Click on the picture to download our Impact Report, which we created using the B Impact Assessment, a free tool provided by B Lab Europe. This assessment helps businesses of all sizes evaluate their performance across five impact categories: Environment, Customers, Employees, Community, and Governance.
Now, full disclosure: We didn’t score high enough to go for a B Corp certification (yet!). But that wasn’t the point. We believe impact isn’t just about ticking boxes, and that’s not what B Corp was intended to be about.
For us, it’s about being mindful, taking stock, taking action, and sharing our progress even if it’s imperfect. This is the statement we wanted to make with this release, encouraging all small businesses to take the first step.
Since our report was already in progress before B Lab announced its updated standards, we stuck to the previous version, but the new standards make things more transparent and more explicit.
If you’re a small business thinking, “Can we do this too?” Yes, yes, you can.
What we are doing in 2026
Empowering Action for individuals and Small Businesses
Pragmatic Consultancy has developed a series of courses which help to guide you through becoming supportive of the Planet around us. The Sustainability courses cover individuals, small business and allows you to cut through the noise, ask questions and learn from others what to do and tips and tricks.
As a busy person its often difficult to find the time to think, let alone act so this provides a great resource for doing both!
Helping you achieve!
Sustainability Foundation Training
Our Sustainability Foundation Training is designed to introduce the core concepts and frameworks that underpin effective sustainability practice.
This session gives your wider business team a solid understanding of what sustainability really means in practice and what role each person plays in supporting your company’s sustainability journey.
Sustainability Carbon Mapping
Carbon mapping isn’t just about data; it’s about decision-making. It helps you identify hotspots, prioritize actions, and engage your teams, suppliers, and customers in the areas that matter most.
Whether you’re at the start of your sustainability journey or refining your existing strategy, carbon mapping creates a strong foundation for credible reporting, informed investment, and impactful change.
Embodied Carbon Reporting
Understanding and reporting embodied carbon allows businesses to make informed decisions that reduce impact from the outset.
By measuring and disclosing these emissions, companies can drive innovation in material use, support circular economy principles, and collaborate more effectively with suppliers.
Aligning to B Corp
With our first Impact Assessment and Report published we head into the next year with a renewed focus on the changes which were introduced by B Corp.
Since our report was already in progress before B Lab announced its updated standards, we stuck to the previous version. The new standards raise the bar even higher, reflecting the increased urgency in the sustainability landscape. It has a set of foundational requirements businesses must meet before being assessed in their actions under 7 categories
- Purpose & Stakeholder Governance
- Fair Work
- Justice, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion
- Human Rights
- Climate Action
- Environmental Stewardship and Circularity
- Government Affairs and Collective Action
Only by leading economic system changes can we help to support the collective vision of an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
